The SMI105-AC Interconnect Hardwired Smoke Alarm with 10-Year Battery Backup has superior features. This 8th generation smoke detector includes a hardwire quick connect plug to help streamline the installation and replacement process. There is no need to rewire. Use the test/silence button to make sure the alarm is functioning correctly. The alarm also includes an end of life warning that will notify you when it’s time to replace.
Backup Battery Provides Continuous Protection
In the event of a power outage, the hardwired smoke alarm is equipped with a 10-year battery backup for continued protection. The 10-year backup battery means no battery replacements are necessary for the life of the detector - eliminating low battery chirps and the hassle of replacing the batteries. Help stop unwanted removal of the alarm by using the optional locking feature.
